This chapter examines the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in Mexican unions, comparing it with its global adoption. Globally, AI is used to protect workers and optimize management, while in Mexico its implementation is still in an early stage. The study contextualizes this lag with international cases and analyzes the ethical, technical and legal implications of AI, highlighting its advantages, such as efficiency, and its risks, such as lack of transparency. It also addresses the regulatory framework in Mexico, which lacks a specific authority and a comprehensive national plan, despite participation in international initiatives. The work highlights the challenges and opportunities that AI presents for unions in Mexico, underlining the importance of training and collaboration between unions, companies and governments, as well as the need to consider ethical and regulatory aspects for responsible adoption.
