The aim of this investigation is to review the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into mental health therapy, specifically in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). AI can provide support in CBT, aiming to improve therapy accessibility. The search included scientific studies and articles indexed in the electronic databases. The results were synthesized to highlight AI's potential in CBT, while providing a detailed understanding of its capabilities. Findings indicate that the integration of AI into CBT offers a new era of more efficient and personalized mental health interventions. Additionally, conversational agents and chatbots offer effective emotional support. Overall, the relationship between cognitive psychology and artificial intelligence is a fact. We may effectively take advantage of the potential of AI to enhance the efficacy and accessibility of mental healthcare. However, challenges and limitations in current AI applications persist because the excessive reliance on AI is dangerous.
