This book presents key works of the eminent British-American psychologist, Maureen O'Hara. Maureen was born during the Second World War in a small wool town in West Yorkshire, England. Starting out first as a biologist, she switched countries and fields in 1969 when she moved to the United States. In 1970, a brush with death brought her in touch with deeper and more existential questions and seeking answers she found humanistic psychology and the work of Carl Rogers who became a lifelong source of both clarity and mystery. In her search to make sense of experiences in diverse settings, she has followed the mavericks who pushed the boundaries of received knowledge to find better ways of understanding the gloriously diverse manifestations of human being.
