Hybrid entrepreneurship involves managing traditional wage jobs while starting a startup. It is gaining popularity as individuals seek to balance their startup ambitions with stable employment. This approach encourages strategic thinking and careful decision-making for a fulfilling career. Further research is necessary to understand how individuals balance traditional jobs with their startups. The study utilised constructivist grounded theory to explore this research question and conducted in-depth interviews with five hybrid entrepreneurs from various countries. Data analysis identified four primary themes: networks and relationships, stability and growth, balancing commitments, and managing uncertainty and risk. The findings contribute to resource and entrepreneurship theory by highlighting how hybrid entrepreneurs can successfully manage their traditional jobs while concurrently creating startups. The results offer scholars an excellent opportunity to test the findings and further explore this area empirically.
