Abstract

would seem apparent that terms such as culture and cultural pattern are so broad and all inclusive, that every discipline might claim relevancy. Any disciplinary approach can with justification claim to be a product of and contributor to the cultures under analysis. Diversity within and among cultures is an acceptable and anticipatory concept; yet it is evident that, because man is the dominant cultural agent, a number of similiarities in kind and degree should be equally acceptable and anticipatory. In general man's adjustments and adaptations are predictable, while diversity is maximized to the extent and level of his modifications.
