Abstract

This volume contains the proceedings of the Second International Conference on Urban Transportation and the Environment for the 21st century being held in Barcelona, Spain during October 1996. Considerable technical developments have taken place in recent years with new and more advanced vehicle and transportation systems emerging. At the same time there is increasing pressure on governments to resolve transportation problems such as congestion and environmental issues.
