Real choices/new voices: the case for proportional representation elections in the United States

Abstract

This text argues that plurality rules are unfair, outmoded and undemocratic and that the US should adopt a different electoral system, proprotional representation, by which officials are elected in multimember districts according to the proportion of the vote won by their parties.
