Urban Transport and Accessibility Transportation Planning and Optimization Urbanization and City Planning

Abstract

During the past 75 years, perhaps one of the most pervasive changes in transportation has been our increasing mobility and its impact on the urban landscape. We left central cities for suburban locations, seeking better lives and new opportunities. We are still seeking improved mobility and better living environments. This paper's view of discovery and change--since the Eno Foundation was created in 1921--gives some measure of guidance as we move into the future.
