The use of road transport informatics (RTI) is a more recent development aiming to optimize the utilization of existing facilities in the transportation system. One way to predict effects of RTI is to model individual travel behavior and to incorporate information explicitly as a model component. This paper presents the outline of a dynamic, behavioral model in which effects of different kinds of information on travel behavior are incorporated. The three essential choices in travel behavior the model is concerned with are mode, route and departure time choices. All are crucial to the trip making behavior of individuals.
