The tourism sector expanded and, at the same time, became more competitive, demanding qualified professionals. For this to happen, it is needed a set of teaching, research and extension programs that is based on a critical analysis of the internal and external reality of the institution. The present study aimed to verify the insertion of the graduates of the Bachelor's degree in Tourism at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in the job market. This type of analysis can be useful to propose or rethink political-pedagogical projects for courses based on recent data, as well as to support the market, with regard to the training of its professionals. To achieve the objective, we opted for conducting a quantitative research made available online using Google's forms tool. We obtained a probabilistic sample of 166 valid questionnaires through which a basic profile is presented, moving on to analyze the perception of graduates about the undergraduate course and their professional situation after graduating. In general, it was concluded that the sampled graduates had a good professional insertion in the training area, highlighting jobs in both operational and leadership positions (supervision and management). Although the professional remuneration is not very high (most of the interviewees have personal income varying from three to six minimum wages), in general, the graduates were satisfied or very satisfied with their professional activity.
