ABSTRACT Studying the older, black, and female population implies the need to understand their experiences, as aging is not a universally uniform process. This article aims to investigate the social representations constructed by older black women, residents of Brazil’s Federal District, about their own aging. This is a mixed, cross-sectional, and exploratory study, conducted with a sample of 31 women (M = 68.8 years; SD = 6.57). The data was analyzed using IraMuTeQ software. The results produced three classes of elements, pointing to the intersection of generation, gender, and race. Social representations of aging, blackness, aesthetics, romantic relationships, and social transformations were addressed. The discussion advances the understanding of a population often forgotten by Psychology, highlighting the importance of conducting further studies on intersectional aging and the different experiences of old age in Brazil.
