Advanced Statistical Process Monitoring Probability and Statistical Research Statistical Distribution Estimation and Applications

Abstract

The distribution of the proportion defective in outgoing (accepted) lots when the process average for the incoming (submitted) lots follows a beta distribution is examined. It is shown how a small set of curves can be used to describe a large number of different incoming quality distributions and sampling plans. Examples are given to demonstrate the usefulness of the results.
