It is well-known throughout the ancient world. The author discusses the parallel expressions of Luke and shows the significance of Greek literature. In the Jewish Scriptures it is not a euphemism for the heathland or anything like that, but it is a clear indication of the end of the world. For ancient people, these limits were the Atlantic, among the Germans, Scythians, Indians and Ethiopians. The author examines all corners of the salvation of the God and the Old Testament predicts the new reality. The original text of the chapter is in German. Keywords: Christian theology; Greek literature; Jewish Scriptures; New Testament; Old Testament
