This chapter contains two main sections. The first deals with the depiction of the so-called Strange and Folly in Proverbs, and especially the way the Septuagint (LXX) translation treats the Strange Woman and Folly. The second discusses Joseph and Aseneth. The connection between the two sections is that Joseph and Aseneth is one of the many instances where we find later use of these images, in particular in this case in relation to the depiction of Aseneth as Strange Woman, who in the course of the narrative becomes with her seven virgins a reflection of Wisdom herself and her seven-pillared dwelling depicted in Proverbs 9.Keywords: Aseneth; Joseph; Septuagint (LXX)
