Abstract

People are an organization's most valuable resource, yet salaries and associated overheads such as superannuation are often the most expensive component of the budget. Managed appropriately, an organization's workforce is its lifeblood. Managed inappropriately, the workforce becomes an expensive commitment that leads to few rewards but many problems.
