Sheizaf Rafaeli, Daphne R. Raban, Gilad Ravid, and Avi NoyThis chapter reports on computerized simulation/games developed andused in graduate and executive education of managers (MBA programs). Our purpose is to describe a few internet-based, computerized simulationsdevoted to teaching management skills. In the following, we discuss someof the unique opportunities to teaching and learning made availablethrough the use of such online simulations, drawing on a series of simula-tions we have developed and implemented in a large number of manage-rial training and education settings.Managers may be among the toughest candidates for education. Thepersonality and conduct expected of managers may diverge from the lei-surely, inquisitive and in-depth nature to which academe is accustomed.Quite to the contrary, managers, and often managers-in-training, are oftenexpected to want to cut-to-the-chase. They are less patient with theories.
