Abstract

Earlier versions of this article were presented at the 2005 Annual Conference of the Society for Research into Higher Education: New Perspectives on Research into Higher Education, University of Edinburgh, 13-15 December 2005, and the UK Centre for Legal Education Annual Conference (LILI) 2006, University of Warwick, 5th January 2006.
