Abstract

The construct of family functioning is of interest to nurses. This article describes the Feetham Family Functioning Survey (FFFS), its theoretical premises, content, format, and scoring. Also presented is the analysis of preliminary data which addresses the instrument's reliability and validity. The analysis supports the potential of the instrument both for research and clinical practice.
