Abstract

scientific debate. The former quote seems too absolutist to me to cover the array of circumstances that arise in the course of an endeavor as multifaceted and complex as scientific discourse. But in spite of my fears of misuse, when wisely employed, PL might prove to be a useful tool in making our way through the tapestry of grays that constitute the worlds of human action, empirical demonstrations, and theoretical debate in science.
