Abstract

We appreciate the Editor's invitation to comment on Dyer and McCann's (2000) impassioned defense of the Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III (MCMI-III; Millon, 1994, Millon, Davis, & Millon, 1997). Because of imposed page constraints, this commentary is very brief. Following a succinct overview, we address major points regarding (a) the overall validation of the MCMI, MCMI-II, and MCMIIII, and (b) the diagnostic validity of the MCMI-III.
