El título profesional de psicólogo en Argentina. Antecedentes históricos y situación actual

Abstract

This paper begins with the first steps of Psychology in Argentina. Then, the role played by psychotecnics and professional guidance during the ’40 and the ’50 is analyzed, together with the applications to education and works, that created the situation that originated the new careers of Psychology at national universities, from the second half of the ’50 on. After the sixties, psychological studies turned towards clinical orientation, which was responsible not only of the first clash of interests with neighbour’s professionals, but also of the contents of the official rules referred to the scopes of the degree in Psychology, issued between 1980 and 1985, that nowadays are still valid.
