Abstract

This paper elucidates the situations of medical literature and information retrieval education (MLIRE) in China, from its initiation, development, to current progress. The paper also discusses the various fields of this topic, including the concepts of some relating keywords, the arrangement of courses, content of teaching, instruction methods, textbooks, teachers, and the education in some faculties of medical and information science. At last, but not at least some recommendations are pointed out, and MLIRE anticipations are given out.
