Analysis the effects of Cultural Intelligence on Knowledge Management Practice (Case study: Higher Education Institutions)

Abstract

Higher education institutions are a microcosm of the globalization that is occurring throughout the world. Effective leadership is critical to ensure that institutions are successful in accomplishing their missions toward a better knowledge management. In addition, cultural intelligence that is based on a multidimensional framework of intelligence is one of KM motivators. Cultural intelligence is conceptualized as four different intelligences residing within a person: meta cognitive, cognitive, motivational, and behavioral and this study tries to appears relationships between these dimensions and KM practice. Based on our survey through two Iranian universities we found that there is a significant relationship between two variables. Moreover, meta cognitive intelligence is the most important motivator of KM and motivational is the last one. The last but not least, CI scores of students is really more that teachers scores in
