Organizational Management and Leadership Management Theory and Practice Collaboration in agile enterprises

Abstract

This paper presents the implementation of a fractal organization and offers managerial lessons from a real industrial company that has several factories clustered by geographic groups. The managerial context is a classic hierarchical organization. To manage the increasing complexity surrounding the company, a new organization is being implemented. This case study describes the as-is and to-be situation, highlighting the specific issues and challenges encountered. Finally, some managerial lessons are presented that point out the strengths and potential risks of a fractal organization.
