Abstract

The conference theme for WSC '13 is Simulation: Making Decisions in a Complex World. Technology is making the world a smaller place. The instant information and fast-paced changes of today challenge the best decision makers. Systems, processes and companies are highly interconnected and interactive. Collectively, these changes make decision making difficult and fraught with uncertainty and risk. Simulation represents the modeling and analysis methodology well suited to help meet the decision-making challenges of today and tomorrow, making this year's theme highly relevant.
