The Animation Project (TAP), a non-profit organization working with adolescents in schools and clinical settings, offers digital animation training, workforce development and exposure to emerging technology within a therapeutic framework. TAP utilizes drama therapy to facilitate group process and sculpt participants’ stories. In this article, TAP’s drama therapy interns and clinical program director collaboratively explore how the model works within schools, how drama therapy supports this process, and how embodiment intersects with technology. Their conversation also interrogates the privileged position of the therapists who facilitate groups and explores issues of vulnerability and resistance that exist within programs supporting marginalized youth.
