Evolution of E-commerce In India: A Review and Its Future Scope

Abstract

There is a complete change in the trend of the Shopping in these days, it is not because of the people that they are more prone to the internet usage but also there is the drastic change in the supporting Ecosystem. There are numerous companies who have upgraded their payment system, changed their business model, working hard in the logistics and overall functionality. [1] The perception of the consumer has also changed, now consumers don't want to visit the physical stores for buying rather they want to do online shopping in their free time. There are investors who are keenly interested in investing their capital in the E-commerce business. In this paper, the author has focused on the change in the E-commerce business from last one decade, which has impacted the business of the retail stores and listed some the implications on the businesses with the solutions to various issues which will benefit the growth in E-commerce by 2020. [2] Also, the author has observed that there is a huge gap in the company's perspective and the real market scenario.
