Abstract

Abstract In this entry, we provide an overview of the field of cross‐cultural pragmatics. We first summarize the historical development of the field. We then provide six Principles through which the modus operandi of cross‐cultural pragmatics can be best described. Finally, we provide examples of current research in the field.
