Abstract

There is no doubt that HIV and AIDS has escalated from being a health problem to a multi-faceted issue that permeates all levels of South African society. As well as sexual behaviour, political, social and biological factors all feed the epidemic. Petifor et al. (2008) argue that AIDS in South Africa poses a complex problem that requires a more nuanced response. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
