Transforming understanding of information literacy: Sustainable futures through information landscapes

Abstract

Abstract When acknowledging the gap between theory to practice in information literacy instruction, Todd, Journal of Information Literacy, 2017, 11, pp. 120–136 called for a deeper understanding of information literacy to move forward in a sustainable fashion. This study aims to investigate to what extent librarians understand the concept of information literacy as a social practice. This poster presents findings from an open‐ended survey distributed to librarians to investigate librarians' understanding of information as a social practice.
