This chapter provides an overview the work done in mathematical inventory models involving positive service time. It considers the review of work done in queueing-inventory system where inventory control policies. Further, the chapter focuses on single-type inventory. The chapter also provides overview of work related to queueing-inventory in which the supply of items is through a production process of a single-type inventory. The case of multitype inventory is investigated. The chapter includes the work reported on multiclass (priority/demanding distinct items) customers. It summarizes work on retrial queues with inventory. An important assumption in classical queueing-inventory models is that after a service completion inventory level decreases by as many units as were taken away by the customer.
