espanolLa propia ubicacion del arte paleolitico dentro de una cueva resulta una cuestion determinante para conocer el significado del mismo. No obstante, a pesar de los numerosos estudios existentes sobre la tematica, la carencia de un criterio objetivo comun a la hora de caracterizar estos espacios, nos ha llevado a disenar una metodologia que se basa en caracteristicas morfologicas y motrices para establecer valores de dificultad cuantificables. Los estudios geomorfologicos previos son necesarios para cerciorarnos de los cambios acontecidos desde la frecuentacion prehistorica en el paisaje subterraneo. En este trabajo demostramos como es posible aplicar dicha metodologia a un ejemplo practico real –el caso de la cueva de Atxurra-, con resultados satisfactorios al comprar objetivamente la accesibilidad a dos sectores decorados diferentes de una cavidad. De esta manera, se abre la posibilidad de aplicar el mismo estudio en otras cuevas prehistoricas en el futuro, pudiendo asi valorar globalmente el condicionante de la accesibilidad en la produccion grafica paleolitica. EnglishThe location of Paleolithic art inside a cave is a determining issue to know the meaning of it. However, despite the numerous existing studies on the subject, the lack of a common objective criterion when characterizing these spaces, has led us to design a methodology that is based on morphological and motor characteristics to establish quantifiable values of difficulty. Previous geomorphological studies are necessary to ascertain the changes that have occurred since prehistoric frequentation in the subterranean landscape. In this work we show how it is possible to apply this methodology to a real practical example -the case of the Atxurra cave-, with satisfactory results, comparing objectively the accessibility to two different decorated sectors of a cavity. In this way, the possibility of applying the same study in other prehistoric caves in the future is opened, thus being able to globally assess the condition of accessibility in Paleolithic graphic production.
