Video conferencing tools have been imposed on many different areas of our day-to-day lives. Everyone, including those with disabilities, must be able to use these tools, taking into account that they are a means to being integrated into society. However, these tools are not currently accessible to people with disabilities who face barriers preventing them from fully using them. To make these tools accessible, standards must be met. But, designers and developers don’t apply these standards because it is a complex task. As a solution, an accessibility requirements analysis is introduced in this paper, providing a list of requirements, along with design patterns resources, that establish a guide for developing a web video conferencing tool with an interface that people with disability could use. In addition, preliminary user tests are presented to validate the suitability and usefulness of the design patterns proposal.
