This research examines employees' perceptions of the role of remuneration in the form of payment in professional performance, which has been reflected in several surveys with different results, some downgrading and others upgrading it, dividing the world literature. The research was conducted to present the reasons why different researches may have led to different results and which is the true relation between money and performance, according to employees' perceptions. To investigate the relationship between money and performance, qualitative or otherwise descriptive research was chosen. The sample of the research is 47 employees from three different organizations, two private and one public. The role of money in increasing the worker's performance seems to be more complex, and there are shortcomings in drawing a general conclusion concerning all employees.Money is an incentive only for workers who do not like their jobs and can also affect staff performance to a large extent in institutions offering, among other things, remuneration based on their performance (such as salesmen). The survey results showed that money plays no role in the employee's engagement but the industrial relations and the worker's desired job position.Wages and financial benefits are at risk, while at the same time high unemployment rates are observed. This reality has a direct impact on individuals' job satisfaction.
