Teacher training in the teaching of information management skills is essential in the current educational context, characterized by the exponential growth of access to information and the use of digital technologies. This study aims to analyze the current state of teacher training in the teaching of information skills, identifying trends, challenges and strategies for improvement. A literature review was conducted in the Scopus database, using the keywords teaching, information AND management, skills, in the period 2020-2025, obtaining 1,177 documents. Using Scopus analytical tools, the distribution of publications by country and other bibliometric indicators were examined. The results indicate a significant increase in scientific production, with a predominance in the United States, China and Spain, in addition to the growing incorporation of ICT in teacher training programs. However, challenges remain, such as the digital divide, the lack of effective educational policies and the need for more precise evaluation strategies. It is concluded that it is imperative to strengthen teacher training in ICT and information literacy to improve teaching and learning in digital environments.
