Collaboration between university and industry is increasingly recognized as a critical driver of innovation through knowledge transfer. Existing literature has explored the barriers and drivers of partnership establishment, but empirical studies are fragmented and need to be systematically integrated. From a stakeholder perspective, this systematic review aimed to propose a multi-perspective framework for University–Industry Collaborative Innovation (UICI) on value creation and develops the multi-perspective framework based on UICI drivers and barriers. Twelve drivers and seventeen barriers are categorized and analyzed according to the type of value they affect. The driver factors should be recognized so that collaborative parties can prepare for changes by investigating these influential positive factors. Finally, we make some concluding remarks and discuss some emerging topics in this field that are fertile for further investigation.
