Abstract

espanolEl objetivo de este articulo consiste, en primer lugar, en ofrecer un mapa de las posibles relaciones teoricas entre la responsabilidad social corporativa y el performance financiero. En segundo lugar, se sistematiza la evidencia empirica sobre estas relaciones, disponible a nivel internacional. Para ello, tras analizar los problemas metodologicos mas habituales en este tipo de literatura, se pone el enfasis en la aportacion realizada por las investigaciones meta-analiticas aparecidas en los ultimos anos. Concluimos, especialmente en lo que llevamos de siglo XXI, que existe una clara vinculacion positiva entre la responsabilidad social corporativa y el performance financiero. EnglishThis article offers a map of the theoretical relations between Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance. Moreover, it reviews the international empirical evidence about such relations. In order to do that, we have analyzed the methodological problems, based on recent meta-analytical research. We conclude that there is a positive correlation between Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance, particularly along the present 21st century.
