Abstract

The twenty papers in this collection reflect the wide-ranging interests of Edward Reid-Smith, one of Australia's most eminent library science educators, in whose honor they are published. Papers cover the education of librarians in Australia, Britain, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, People's Republic of China, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Hungary; issues in continuing and adult education as they relate to libraries and librarians; library science research in Australia, Britain, and the Philippines; and international concerns common to most countries.
