Abstract

This volume is a collection of papers on spatial demography. The term spatial demography is used here in its broader sense to refer to the spatial analysis of past present and future population systems and structures. Spatial demography is both a member of the demography family and a close relative of population geography. Part 1 deals with spatial variations in demographic structures. Part 2 covers modeling and forecasting and Part 3 is concerned with the reconstruction estimation and evaluation of demographic patterns. (EXCERPT)
