Hospitality and Tourism Education Diverse Aspects of Tourism Research Community-based Tourism Development and Sustainability

Abstract

A study was conducted to investigate the work of ecotour guides, and the impact professionalisation has on raising ecotour guides' levels of professionalism. Results indicated that ecotour guides considered passion as a motivator to professionalising knowledge and skills; while the stakeholders believed ecotour guides have to have passion to be professionalised.
