Summary The repressed aspects of the profession: Antisemitic latencies in Individual Psychology Against the background of increased antisemitism since October 7, 2023, and the first empirical findings on antisemitism in psychotherapy, this article assumes that antisemitic latencies must also be examined in a profession-specific manner. Drawing on historical dimensions of Individual Psychology, the article identifies two central lines of repressed aspects: the insufficient examination of continuities after 1945, and the erasure of experiences of (antisemitic) persecution of Individual Psychology under National Socialism and Austrofascism. The article argues that antisemitism sensitivity should be understood as a necessary competence in psychotherapy - one that cannot emerge without a critical look at the past.
