Executive coaching in organizations has the potential to bring value that far exceeds the sum of each individual coaching engagement in isolation. In order to maximize the value of coaching in the organization, it is important to adopt a total systems perspective, thinking of coaching as a holistic intervention, and a set of interwoven relationships and engagements. The focus of this chapter is to enhance the value of coaching for the organization by emphasizing the critical partnership between the organization and coach at every phase of the process. It considers the three main phases of coaching that when viewed holistically have the power to facilitate coaching success throughout the organization: alignment, support, and evaluation. Much of the focus in the coaching literature has been on the individual level, primarily between the coach and coachee. Controlled Vocabulary Terms Executive coaching; Organizational culture
