This chapter is an ethnographic case study of one university student’s experience of navigating scientific material bilingually. The authors trace conceptual threads through a dynamic bilingual learning process, showing how translanguaging happens across the presentation and discussion of scientific material, the student’s note-taking and the assessment of the scientific material. In doing so, the authors show how translanguaging occurred across media, including materials, talk, notes and tests in a dynamic process that purposefully developed the student’s academic bilingualism while it increased his scientific knowledge. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
