Abstract

This four-volume reference work covers all aspects of communications - individual and institutional, cultural and technical, practical and theoretical - throughout the world. It contains more than 550 original articles by contributors from 29 countries, and each article contains its own bibliography. The text examines the communication aspects of numerous disciplines including anthropology, music, English literature, science and technology, education, history, psychology, mathematics and religion.
